PRINCETON W.Va. (WVDN) – WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital (PCH) is pleased to welcome Dr. Buadi Tandoh to its nephrology practice.
Dr. Tandoh brings a strong and well-rounded background in internal medicine, nephrology, and academic research. He completed his nephrology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he contributed to important studies on kidney disease and treatment.
He completed his internal medicine residency at Hartford Healthcare St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Connecticut where he earned multiple distinctions, including Senior Resident of the Year, Outstanding Ambulatory Senior Resident, and the Resident Excellence in Teaching Award.
“I’m excited to join Princeton Community Hospital and contribute to a region where nephrology services are truly needed,” said Dr. Tandoh. “My goal is to strengthen kidney care here by bringing advanced treatment and compassionate support to patients throughout the region.”
Dr. Tandoh earned his medical degree (MBChB) and a bachelor’s degree in medical sciences from the University of Ghana. Prior to relocating to the United States, he served in key clinical and leadership roles in hospitals across Ghana, including medical officer in-charge and emergency team leader.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Tandoh has a strong academic background in kidney-related research, with published work spanning autoimmune kidney diseases, infections, and the effects of certain medications on renal health. His research has been featured in medical journals and presented at national professional conferences.
Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Tandoh is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while advancing kidney health in southern West Virginia and beyond.
