FRANKFORD W.Va. (WVDN) – A Frankford man was arrested early Sunday, June 29, after allegedly assaulting his wife during a domestic disturbance at a Greenbrier County residence.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Brier Lane near Frankford at approximately 12:56 a.m. on June 29, following a report of an active domestic incident.
The caller stated that her granddaughter was inside the home while the woman’s husband, identified as Alexander Sizemore, was outside attempting to force his way in after an altercation.
Upon arrival, deputies found Sizemore in the front yard wearing a backpack. He was detained while officers investigated the incident.
The victim reportedly told deputies that Sizemore had used drugs earlier in the evening and passed out in her car. She said she left him there to sleep it off, but several hours later, he began honking the horn and became upset. When she refused to help him retrieve items from the car, the victim allegedly said Sizemore grabbed her by the shoulder, tearing her shirt, punched her in the ribs and pushed his fingers into her rib cage when she screamed for help.
She told deputies that Sizemore entered the home through a window before later removing his belongings from the house and calling a friend to pick him up. The victim also asked officers to search the rental car she had transported him in, expressing concern about potential drugs or paraphernalia inside.
Sizemore was arrested and charged with domestic battery. During questioning, he was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with deputies. Sizemore claimed the only physical contact he made was an attempt to hug the victim.
He was processed at the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office and later transported to Southern Regional Jail. The case remains under investigation.
