LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – The United Way of Greenbrier Valley is excited to announce a unique and high-impact community fundraiser, the Boot Drive, in collaboration with 59 News, taking place on Friday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 219 and The Greenbrier Valley Mall in Lewisburg.
Throughout the day, local volunteers will be stationed at this busy intersection collecting drive-by donations from community members. Whether you drop in a few dollars or your spare change, every contribution helps fund critical programs within the Greenbrier Valley.
59 News will be broadcasting live updates from the event throughout the day and sharing stories from the field.
“All proceeds from the Boot Drive go directly to support the 32 Partner Agencies funded by United Way of Greenbrier Valley,” states the United Way’s director, Lauren Rainier. “These agencies serve our neighbors in education, health, basic needs, and financial stability. Your support, no matter how big or small, stays local and makes a direct impact on those who need it most,” Rainier adds.
This fun, out-of-the-box event is a chance for the community to come together and make a difference in a visible and meaningful way.
If you would like to volunteer or donate, please contact Lauren at director@unitedwaygbv.org or by calling (304) 647-3783.
Let’s fill the boots and fill the need, because your support matters!
