The city of Ronceverte discovered seven new leaks in the water system earlier today and, as a result, water has been shut off from the main tank.
According to Pam Mentz, city administrator, those on the main tank line will be without water until about 7 p.m., or possibly later, on Tuesday, May 4.
The town of Alderson has sent a crew to Ronceverte to help fix the issues.
For residents who need drinking water, a tanker truck is located at Tri-County and the Pepsi Company out of Princeton has donated 14 pallets of bottled drinking water, Mentz said.
For Ronceverte residents who are homebound and need water, Mentz said to call city hall at 304-647-5455, and someone will get water to them.
