RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) — Living Waters Christian Heritage Center will host “Messages of Hope,” an event designed to share inspiring personal journeys, on Saturday, June 14, at 1:30 p.m. The program aims to encourage attendees to live lives of integrity and purpose.
The event, presented by “Free to Be,” an ecumenical network of Christian believers, will feature two speakers: Linda Cicero, RN, and Jessie Gruskievich, M.Div.
Linda Cicero, a grandmother and great-grandmother, will share her story of overcoming early challenges, including dropping out of school and becoming homeless at age 11. Despite these obstacles, Cicero went on to earn multiple degrees and is now a regional manager for a major insurance company. She is also the owner and founder of Shelter in Place LLC, an organization dedicated to helping seniors age in place in the Richmond area, and is a volunteer in disaster relief and missions.
Jessie Gruskievich, a Salem, Virginia, native, will share her message of hope and inspiration. Gruskievich has worked in the criminal justice field since 2013 and currently serves as a Supervisory Chaplain within the prison system. An adoptive mother of three and a sexual abuse survivor, she ministers to those experiencing trauma and will share her testimony of faith.
Worship will be led by Andy and Angie Fraley. For more information, contact Living Waters at 304-445-6000 or Joe Treadway at 270-635-0883.
