Julia Carol Morrison McCartney

Julia Carol Morrison McCartney, aged 84, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away on April 25, 2025, at the Peyton Hospice House. Born on August 28, 1940, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Norma Craft Ferguson.

After graduating from Hinton High School, Carol pursued her passion for beauty and attended beautician school. She worked as a beautician for many years and later retired from The Greenbrier, after twenty-six years of dedicated service in the laundry department. Carol also cared for the elderly in hospice, offering her companionship and support during their final days.

Carol was deeply devoted to her family, extended family, and friends at Morgan Manor. She cherished her pets, who brought her joy throughout the years. Carol will be remembered for her kind heart, dedication to her family and friends, and her contributions to her community. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, George Dale Morrison Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Teubert (Randy); and her grandchildren, Joe Teubert (Felicia), Julie Teubert (Nathan Massie), and Jake Teubert (Molli). Carol also leaves behind her four great-grandchildren, Anna Teubert, Carson Combs, Cole Massie, and Ronni Teubert.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Teubert officiating. Visitation will take place one hour before the service on Tuesday. Burial will follow the service at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901, in recognition of the compassionate care Carol received.

The online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.

Arrangements are entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
