LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier River Watershed Association is hosting their annual watershed celebration day at Lost World Caverns on Saturday, May 3, 3-7 p.m. Admission is a suggested $20 donation per person or $35 for families, which includes cave admission!
Learn about their water quality project in collaboration with WVSOM, stream ecology, and pick up some free native flower seed packets. Greenbrier Grotto will be present with their squeeze box activity to demonstrate what it’s like for cavers inside tight spaces.
There will be lots of kids’ activities, music and a fiddler inside the cave. The Hub will have great food available, plus the association’s beautiful T-shirts, hats, drybags and maps of the watershed are for sale, which further supports their projects. They recently received a donated 2-person, 21-foot kayak that will be on display for sale, so come check that out too!
Do you remember how dry it was last summer? They will have 13 painted rain barrels available for auction and raffle. These beautiful rain barrels were all painted by local schools.
Please join the community and support the association’s ongoing projects to keep the beautiful Greenbrier River clean and healthy! Stay up to date on all of their activities as well as this event at https://www.facebook.com/green
