GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – The month of May traditionally brings warmer temperatures, blooming flowers and marks the beginning of outdoor celebrations. The Patriots Motorcycle Club is ready to enjoy the outdoors with their very own celebrations, including a community ride and cookout.

The first event will be a ‘Giving Back to the Community’ cookout on Sunday, May 4, 2025, which will be held at the Pines Wedding Venue in Crawley. This event is free to the public and everyone is welcome. The Patriots will be on hand grilling hotdogs and hamburgers. In a collective statement from club members, “It’s our way of saying thank you for all the support you have shown the Patriots Motorcycle Club over the years.” The cookout will begin at 2 p.m.

On Saturday, May 10, the Patriots will invite the public once again to enjoy the rising temperatures and outdoor scenery with a community ride to Blackwater Falls. In the event of rain, the ride will be rescheduled for May 17. Riders will meet at Walmart in Lewisburg at 8:30 a.m. with the ride beginning at 9 a.m. The adventure will begin on Route 219 North toward Elkins before turning onto Route 33 toward Blackwater Falls. On the return trip home, the Patriots will lead riders through the twists and turns of Route 72 down to Seneca Rocks and then Route 92 toward White Sulphur Springs. If you’re planning to embark on this journey with the club, please know that this is an all-day ride with approximately 7 hours of saddle time consisting of 320 miles.

As with the cookout, there is no charge to participate in the community ride. There will be a donation jar set up for anyone who wishes to contribute to the group’s ‘Ride to Give’ Christmas fund. The ride is open to not only motorcycles, but cars and trucks as well. The Patriots will have their Road Captains along for the trip to help maintain safety for everyone.

The Patriots Motorcycle Club was founded in 2016 and has since grown to include over 70 members. For more information on these and other events, including the upcoming ‘Ride to Give’ poker run and ‘Back of the Dragon’ ride in June, you can follow the Patriots Motorcycle Club on social media at Facebook.com/patriotmc2016.
