David Edward “Eddie” Johnson, Jr.
David Edward “Eddie” Johnson, Jr., 88, of Renick, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Seneca Trail Healthcare Center in Lewisburg.
Eddie was born January 12, 1937, in Ronceverte and was the son of the late Nellie Whanger and David E. Johnson, Sr.
Eddie was a retired CSX Railroad Clerk, a member of the Frankford Ruritan Club, and the Renick Fire Department. He was of the Baptist Faith and a US Army Veteran.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lewis Johnson; and his brother, Harold Johnson.
Surviving include his sons, Randy Johnson and wife, Lorna, of Lewisburg, WV, and Ricky Johnson of White Sulphur Springs; a daughter, Carolyn Hannigan and husband, John, of Renick; grandchildren, Nathaniel Johnson and Katie Johnson of White Sulphur Springs and Brianna Hannigan of Renick; great-grandchildren, Braelyn Johnson, Emerson Johnson, and Addison Johnson; brother, Ronald Johnson of Cleveland, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Morningside Cemetery with Mr. Steve Petre officiating.
There will be no visitation.
