CHARLESTON W.Va. (WVDN) — West Virginia Attorney General JB McCuskey is co-leading a coalition of 23 states in supporting the Trump Administration’s efforts to re-ignite the nation’s energy grid with coal. Attorney General McCuskey, joined by North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Wyoming Attorney General Bridget Hill, sent a letter on behalf of the coalition to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum.
“We support the Trump Administration’s efforts to undo irrational, liberal energy policy to bring all of our coal-fired power plants back on-line,” Attorney General McCuskey said. “We cannot stand by and allow China to lead the AI revolution; we must be in control of our own future. To do that, we need a reliable energy source – domestic coal is that source.”
Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia joined the West Virginia-, North Dakota- and Wyoming-led letter.
