WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – This year’s winning ticket for the Annual Lions Club Rifle Raffle is Audrey Edwards from Ashland, Wisconsin. The White Sulphur Lions would like to thank everyone who supported the club by purchasing a ticket.
Chairman Mary Ann Hensley would also like to acknowledge the cooperation of several local establishments that allowed Lions to sell raffle tickets at their businesses or events. Many thanks to: Go Mart in White Sulphur, WSS Farmers’ Market, American Heritage Music Hall at the Fairlea Fairgrounds Arts and Crafts Show, and the Family Dollar Store in White Sulphur.
It really does take a village. The dollars raised will be used to help purchase eyeglasses, Christmas gifts for children, as well as to support other community needs. The Lions also sponsor blood drives, help in nursing homes, and donate to the local food banks, just to name a few recent activities.
