Shirley Lee West Sizemore

Shirley Lee West Sizemore, aged 76, departed this life on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the Greeneville Community Hospital in Greeneville, TN. Born on April 1, 1948, in Rocky Mount, NC, Shirley was the cherished daughter of the late Milton Dupree West Jr. and Toy Dee Boone West.

Shirley was a devoted pastor’s wife and member of the White Sulphur Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she found solace and community. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life, and her presence within the church will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory. Her husband of fifty-four years, Rev. Gene Sizemore, stood by her side through decades of companionship and devotion. Together, they created a close-knit family, blessed with daughters, Bonnie Lanier (Mitch), Faye Bradshaw (Kenny), Gina Sizemore, Edwina Honaker (David), and Sherry Pence (Jay).

Shirley was also a proud grandmother to Nicholas, Rebecca, Ryan, Sierra, Ali, Hannah, Lilly, Brayden, Weston, and Jaycie, who she adored deeply. Her great-grandchildren, Emma, Elliana, Elizabeth, and Augustine, brought her immense joy, and she treasured the moments spent with them.

In addition to her immediate family, Shirley’s heart and home were open to special additional family members, including Brandy McMillion (Joey) and their daughter, Mekiah, Penny Hoggarth, and Debra Hall.

A funeral service to honor Shirley’s life and legacy will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel in Lewisburg, WV. Pastor Dallas F. Bennett Jr. and Rev. Cleveland Harrison will officiate the service, providing comfort and words of remembrance. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the White Sulphur Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church Womens’ Ministry – PO Box 673, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986.

For those who wish to share their condolences and memories, an online guestbook is available at www.morganfh.net.

Arrangements are being handled by the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV.
