CHARLESTON- Greenbrier East sophomore Ava Workman had two great games in the state tournament in Charleston and they did not go unnoticed. Workman, who had 21 points and nine rebounds in game one and 16 points, seven boards, and four steals in game two, was named to the Class AAA all-tournament team.
Preslee Treadway, Greenbrier West’s all-time leading scorer, was named to the Class A all-tournament team. The senior put up 21 points in the Cavs opening win over Tucker County and in a losing effort versus Tug Valley, had 25 points, 12 rebounds, and seven steals.
