LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – The Old Red Mill Taphouse Grille, a new restaurant in downtown Lewisburg, opens its doors this Saturday, bringing a fresh dining experience to the area. The restaurant, located in the historic Old Red Mill building, combines the charm of the site’s past with a modern menu focused on local ingredients and craft beverages.

Run by three brothers and Amy Mills of Amy’s Market, The Old Red Mill Taphouse Grille offers an updated menu that highlights regional flavors and fresh, locally sourced products. The venue is designed to appeal to both locals and visitors, with a focus on providing a welcoming atmosphere for any occasion. “We wanted to do things a little different than most restaurants do in the area, and we did not want to duplicate menus. This is a different company than Amy’s Market and we hope to get new customers from the community,” said Mills.

The Old Red Mill building dates back to the 1800s and has long been a historic landmark in downtown Lewisburg. Its rustic charm is still present, but the interior has been revamped to create a warm, contemporary atmosphere. Guests can dine in a spacious indoor area or on an outdoor patio with views of the surrounding area. The restaurant combines local flavors, a relaxed atmosphere, and a strong sense of community, making it a standout addition to the area’s growing culinary scene.

Known for its rustic charm, exposed brick and industrial design, the building has been thoughtfully renovated to accommodate the restaurant’s contemporary concept while preserving its historical integrity.

The Old Red Mill Taphouse Grille offers a variety of American comfort food with a modern twist. Dishes include locally sourced gourmet burgers, bar food, pizza, and seasonal vegetable sides. The restaurant also offers a rotating selection of craft beers from West Virginia breweries and a list of non-alcoholic drinks.

The restaurant’s opening marks the beginning of a new chapter for the historic site. The Old Red Mill Taphouse Grille will be open from Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. To celebrate its grand opening, the restaurant will host a special event on Saturday, March 15, with live music, complimentary tastings and exclusive offers.

For more information on the Old Red Mill Taphouse Grille, visit their website or find them on Facebook.
