FAIRLEA- It’s off to Beckley next fall for Hailey Ervin.
The Greenbrier East volleyball star has now officially signed to extend her playing career with the West Virginia Tech Golden Bears in the fall of 2025.
Ervin, a 4-year varsity player and 2-time all-state selection, said the choice to make WVU Tech her next home was an easy one.
“I really like the girls on the team. I went to practice with them sometimes and they were all really nice,” Ervin said.
“It’s really close to home and that’s a big part of the reason and also the coach is super sweet. I love her,” she added.
When she finally arrives on campus, she plans to make an impact early both academically and athletically, something that she is willing to work hard toward accomplishing.
“School. That’s my number one priority. Then, just to stand out and work hard for volleyball, Ervin concluded.
Ervin finished her Spartan career with 1,922 assists and 1,051 digs. She was in the top 10 in West Virginia for assists twice–including top 5 twice as well– and landed in the top 10 twice for digs.
Ervin is the daughter of Tony and Jen Ervin and will finish her final playing days as a Spartan by running track, which begins in the next few weeks.
