Malinda (Missy) Beaver Nothem
Malinda (Missy) Beaver Nothem, 66, of Lewisburg, passed away on January 24, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Beaver Sr.; and husband, Michael Nothem.
She is survived by her mother, Ann Beaver; children, Katherine Harris, Nathaniel Harris, Melanie Nothem, and Chris Nothem; grandchildren, Emily Myers, Greta Nothem, and Mallory Nothem; as well as her siblings, Libby Beaver Czerlinsky and Jim Beaver Jr.
Missy was born in Winchester, VA, on September 27, 1958. She graduated from James Wood High School in 1976, where she was named Miss James Wood. She attended and graduated from the Roanoke Memorial School of Nursing in 1980. Missy served in various capacities over a lifetime invested in the service of others through her nursing career and philanthropic interests. She was a gardening enthusiast, achieving a master gardener certification, as well as a lover of animals, many of whom found a loving human to care for them.
No service will be held. To honor Missy’s life, donations can be made in her name to the State Fair of WV Scholarship Fund held by the Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation at PO Box 1682, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
