FAIRLEA W.Va. (WVDN) – The GVAC Sea Dragons swim team hosted the Rockbridge Storm for the New Year’s Splash Bash meet on Feb. 1, which featured long distance events. Each swimmer on the team had at least one personal best time or competed in a stroke or distance that was new for them.
The following swimmers set new team records in their competition categories; Kensley Routson (100Y free), Avery Hodges-McGuffin (200Y breast), Harper Bostic (50Y fly), Emily Hobbs (50Y free, 1,000Y free), Adelyn Wallington (200Y back), Ella Butler (50Y free, 200Y back), Tianna Allen (200Y free), Marley White (200Y breast), Luke Taylor (100Y and 200Y breast, 100Y IM), Ben Kelso (100Y free, 100Y breast), Keean Hedrick (100Y and 200Y back), Cooper Homer (200Y fly).
The Sea Dragons will travel to Bridgeport, on Feb. 22-23 where they will compete in the TYR Top 10 Invite.
