GREENVILLE, SC- The Greenville, SC Shriners Hospital has selected Eli Honaker as their patient ambassador.
For his selection, Eli has met with the University of Clemson Tigers baseball team, and he has earned the honor to travel with the Tigers to a big tournament in Texas in February of 2025.
He will serve as the honorary captain for the team in the tournament.
Eli lives in Rochelle, Virginia with his parents Scott and Katie Honaker and his sister, Hannah. Scott is a 2001 graduate of Greenbrier East High School.
Eli is the grandson of Tommy and Joann Honaker of Ronceverte and JW and Julie Pickett of Rainelle.
The WVDN will do a follow-up story on Eli after Clemson finishes their tournament next month.
