LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – The holiday season kicks off in Lewisburg with a festive weekend filled with events for the entire family! Join the community for a delightful celebration beginning on Thursday, Dec. 5. The weekend festivities start with the City of Lewisburg Christmas Parade at 7 p.m.
Welcome Santa Claus to this charming town and kick off the holiday cheer!
Friday, Dec. 6
Enjoy the First Fridays After Five event, where many local shops and restaurants will remain open late. Experience the joy of the season with free carriage rides by Carolla and Sons Carriage Rides from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Don’t miss Santa’s visit downtown from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and gather at Love Child at 6 p.m. for a special reading of Elf on the Shelf by Mayor Beverly White, accompanied by a surprise guest, Lewis the Elf!
Cap off the evening with a screening of Elf at the Lewis Theaters at 7 p.m., or enjoy the West Virginia Symphony at Carnegie Hall, also starting at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 7
The fun continues with more carriage rides from 3 to 7 p.m. Lewis the Elf will be making his rounds downtown from 12 to 2 p.m., and Mayor White will read Elf on the Shelf at Love Child at noon and again afterward at the Green Space. For theater lovers, don’t miss A Tuna Christmas at the Greenbrier Valley Theater at 2:30 p.m., with a second showing at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 8
Finish off the weekend with Santa’s final visit downtown from 2 to 4 p.m., perfect for capturing memorable holiday photos! Join us for this magical weekend in Lewisburg and create cherished memories with family and friends. We look forward to celebrating the season with you!
