WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – Heather Fox, owner of MerryWeather’s Boutique, has been a busy lady trying to juggle her time and physical self. Time in the aspect of managing two fantastic shops but never fear, she’s got her hands tightly around the reins. Customers will now be able to shop at her new location in White Sulphur Springs as the Lewisburg store will be closing in January 2025. The new store will offer set hours and longer shopping days in January but for now, weekend days until after Christmas. You still have time to visit the Lewisburg location.

Fox has spoken about her history as an up-and-coming artisan and her businesses saying, “I’ve always been a creative person interested in the arts, and growing up in Appalachia, exposed me to many traditional crafts. I have been a fine arts major and a Tamarack Artisan. I also had some success as a working quilt artist. Before the pandemic, I worked in retail sales of wearable art, then in late 2019, I decided to start my own business. Initially, MerryWeather’s would have been a traveling vendor for music festivals. But the pandemic forced a course change. Becoming a brick-and-mortar boutique in downtown Lewisburg and now moving to White Sulphur Springs, meant the business would need to evolve and expand its mission.

“I have tried to maintain a fun theme with lots of color, tie dye, and handmade goods. There is still a definite nod to the music festival and counterculture lifestyle, but we now offer a wider range of styles for a wider range of people and needs and will cater to inclusive size ranges soon. You can find special statement pieces here, but we also strive to offer great items at affordable prices. We aim to be open six days per week with more evening hours but you can find us on weekend days until then.”

Fox is not only the proprietor; she also creates lovely items, like Shibori Tye Dye. She enjoys pottery, quilting, knitting and painting. She also supports other local artists in her shop; creators like Mick’s Media Jewelry by Mickayla Pence, Mountain Clay Company by Amelia Cole, Shea New Jewelry by Shea Newton, Julie Fine Designs, Studio Kelsie and Made by Meish by Michelle Clause.

Pop over to MerryWeather’s for all your holiday shopping and surprise a loved one with unique gifts at the White Sulphur Springs location at 714 E. Main St. with varying hours until final set-ups in January. (The former Pinoy Store) You may call the White Sulphur Springs store at 304-956-2022 and check their social media pages for real-time information. Their website is www.shopmerryweathers.com and can be found on Facebook and Instagram @shopmerryweathers. The new White Sulphur Shop will be open late for after-parade shopping on Dec. 7.

The Lewisburg Location is at 850 Court St. N. in Lewisburg. Those business hours are available through January, Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The website is www.shopmerryweathers.com and can be found on Facebook and Instagram @shopmerryweathers. The Lewisburg phone number is 681-318-3300.
