LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – The Magic of Christmas in Lewisburg begins on Nov. 22 and continues every weekend through Christmas!
As the holiday season approaches, downtown Lewisburg transforms into a winter wonderland, ready to welcome locals and visitors for a festive kickoff. The air is filled with excitement and wonder, inviting everyone to partake in the celebrations.
The festivities begin with a grand tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. in the central green space where a towering tree adorned with twinkling lights and colorful ornaments becomes the heart of the celebrations. Families gather around, sipping hot cocoa and enjoying the sound of carolers singing timeless holiday classics.
Local retailers are showcasing gifts and seasonal treats. Children can meet Santa Claus where they can share their wishes and take memorable photos. A festive parade winds through downtown on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m., featuring floats adorned with lights and lively performances that capture the joy of the season.
As night falls, the streets come alive with enchanting light displays, horse-drawn carriages roll through them, and Santa and holiday characters roam the streets spreading cheer.
Throughout December, various events will take place. Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Girl Day Out on Dec. 14. Downtown becomes a vibrant hub of joy, where the spirit of the holidays is celebrated in every corner, creating lasting memories for all who join in the festivities.
