Recently Greenbrier East football standout Nate Baker made his commitment to West Virginia State official when he signed on the dotted line in front of many family members, friends, teammates and coaches.
The family had a get-together at the Quality Inn in Lewisburg with refreshments to celebrate Bakers’ current accomplishments and future endeavors.
Baker finished his Spartan career with 32 receptions, 406 yards and seven touchdowns. He also ran 32 times for 228 yards and four TD’s. He converted six 2-point conversions.
On defense, Baker put up even bigger numbers. He had 219 career tackles, five interceptions, three sacks, two fumble recoveries, a safety and a defensive score.
“I chose WV State because it was just a good fit for me. They had the major I was interested in, a great football program and I will be utilized on the field,” Baker said back in January.
