The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources has identified 136 new cases of COVID-19, and confirmed the death of one additional West Virginian, a 58-year-old Hampshire County man, within the last 24-hours.
“We offer our deepest condolences to this family,” said Cabinet Secretary Bill Crouch, in a message posted on the DHHR website.
As of Tuesday, March 2, 2,301 West Virginians have lost their lives as a result of complications stemming from COVID-19.

Greenbrier County remains designated as gold on the DHHR map, while Monroe County remains designated as green.
