CHARMCO- The Greenbrier West Cavaliers took senior night seriously this year.
On Friday, Oct. 25, and after a slight delay due to an auto accident, outside the Stadium, the Cavaliers were about as perfect as one can be in a 47-12 route of the 6th ranked Sherman Tide at Cavalier Stadium.
Brandon Poticher ran for 204 yards and two touchdowns and fellow senior, quarterback Evan Vandall, ran for three scores and 87 yards on the night.
Poticher could have had touchdown number three late in the game, but he purposely stepped out of bounds at the 1-yard line so his close friend Peyton Ford could score his first career touchdown, which he did immediately after.
The Cavaliers ran for 354 yards on the night and never trailed in the contest.
Mason Ward had a 62-yard touchdown run as well for West.
With the victory, Greenbrier West’s playoff chances took a big step forward with one game left on the schedule.
