Please vote for the WV Daily News Greenbrier East and Greenbrier West ‘Football Friday’ Players of the Week for week 9 of the 2024 High School football season. Three Spartans and three Cavaliers are listed together. We will take the top vote getter from each school and announce the winners on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting this week closes Monday, October 28, 2024, at 9:00 PM.

Nominees:

Greenbrier East (beat Summers County 34-26):

Brody Hamric: 8-for-14, 196 yards, 4 TDs

Nate Suttle: 6 receptions, 124 yards, 2 TDs

Don Don Penn: 2 rec, 72 yards, 3 total TDs– all 5 catches this year have been for TDs

Greenbrier West (defeated #6 Sherman 47-12):

Brandon Poticher: 22 carries, career-high 204 yards, 2 TDs

Evan Vandall: 15 carries, 87 yds, 3 TDs

Peyton Ford: 1 carry, 1 yd, TD–first career score
