LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – As the chill rolls into the Greenbrier Valley, the hardworking and extremely devoted Greenbrier East Marching Band may find some much-deserved rest. After an incredible season traveling, practicing, staying after school late and balancing a myriad of responsibilities, the children and band boosters close their season, hosting a marching band festival where talents from many neighboring schools, showed up in style. They looked pressed and dressed and all did a fantastic job. A huge thank you to Band Director Jim Allder and Booster Amanda Butler among many others who give 100% support and encouragement to our youth, keeping the arts alive in public schools. You can catch a great show called “Sparta” after the Homecoming Game on Friday, Oct. 18 at East High School in Lewisburg.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, The Greenbrier East High School Spartan Band and the GEHS Band Boosters hosted the Spartan Classic Marching Band Festival.
