Alma Ruth Goebel, 86, of Frankford, WV, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at the LewisGale Hospital in Salem, VA.

Born on November 13, 1933, in Mohawk, WV, she was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Lawson and Bertha Elizabeth Blankenship Lawson.

Alma Ruth Goebel, 86, of Frankford, WV, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at the LewisGale Hospital in Salem, VA.

Born on November 13, 1933, in Mohawk, WV, she was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Lawson and Bertha Elizabeth Blankenship Lawson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Mohawk Bailey Sr.; a son, Mohawk Bailey Jr.; a daughter, Deborah Minnick; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband of over 20 years, Herbert Goebel; daughter-in-law, Lessie Lewis of Frankford; brother, Charles Lawson (Jackie) of Iaeger, WV; sister, Anna Bailey of Bluefield, WV; many adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Morningside Cemetery in Renick, WV.
