William “Larry” Sears, 77, of Muddy Creek Mountain, WV, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019, at the home of his son in Clintonville, WV.
Born on May 28, 1942, in Clintonville, he was the son of William John and Sadie Arabell Roailie Jackson Sears.
Larry retired from Greenbrier County Schools as a bus driver. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, camping, and watching television. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Catherine Louise Woolard Sears; brother, Dewey Sears; and sister, Gaylene Zimmerman.
Survivors include his son, Todd Sears (Susan) of Clintonville; daughter, Kimberly Eggleston (Kenneth) of Second Creek, WV; special “adopted son,” Chester Loudermilk of Clintonville; grandchildren, Kayla Taylor (Kevin), Cathy Eggleston, Nathan Sears (Beth), and Lindsey Sears (Donnie Spry); great-grandchildren, Hunter and Madison Taylor, David and Zackery Bennett, and Kota Sears; brother, Carl Sears of Lewisburg, WV; sisters, Marie Loudermilk of Clintonville and Edna Hedrick (James) of Virginia; his canine companion, Tiny; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901, with the Rev. Otis Cales officiating. Burial will follow in the Roach Cemetery on Muddy Creek Mountain in Lewisburg.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Thursday, at the funeral home.
