GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – The United Way of Greenbrier Valley is excited for the launch of their 2024/2025 campaign, which begins this week, with the official Kick-off on Sept. 5.
Last year’s campaign chairs, Warren and Margaret May, have elected to champion the 2024/2025 United Way of Greenbrier Valley’s Capital Campaign after a very successful campaign the prior year. From the Fall of 2023 to the spring of 2024, with the May’s leadership, The United Way raised nearly $800,000 in total pledges.
Warren has a lengthy and very successful background in finance and held the position of President and CEO for the Lincoln Financial Group. Warren and Margaret May have resided in The Greenbrier Valley, since 2020, and Warren has been an instrumental figure in various projects within the county, including The Greenbrier Valley Family Activity Center, to be constructed in White Sulphur Springs.
“We are surrounded by wonderful believers, a great support team, and a sound foundation from which to build. It remains our goal to provide kids and families in our community a better path to a better life,” states Warren May.
“We have great vision for what we can achieve within the community,” claims the United Way’s executive director, Lauren Rainier. “We are so encouraged by the generosity of our supporters within our community, that we see our reach going such a long way to help the people that we serve throughout Greenbrier County and beyond,” adds Rainier.
The United Way of Greenbrier Valley was founded in 1986 and is focused on implementing strategies to successfully impact Greenbrier, Monroe and Pocahontas Valley residents in the areas of health, education, and basic needs. Through grants and private support, The United Way of Greenbrier Valley supports local organizations serving these counties.
