BOONE COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – Three individuals have been arrested on drug charges in Boone County, according to the West Virginia State Police. In a statement, WVSP said:
“On Saturday, August 31, 2024 Tpr. M.S. Hall was conducting road patrol in the Madison area of Boone County and performed a traffic stop on a gray VW Jetta. Upon speaking with the driver, identified as eighteen year old Gregory Daniels of Northwest, Ohio, Tpr. Hall detected an odor of marijuana.
“Two passengers identified as twenty year old Niare Clipper of Barberton, Ohio and eighteen year old Antoine Dortch of Hallie, Ohio were removed from the vehicle. Sr. Tpr. A.R. Workman and K-9 Kali arrived on scene and conducted an exterior sweep of the vehicle, where K-9 Kali alerted to the imprinted odor of illegal drugs.
“A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded approximately 11.84 grams of suspected Fentanyl and approximately $6332.00 in U.S. Currency. The three males were placed under arrest, and all charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver-Fentanyl and Conspiracy. The males were transported to Southwestern Regional Jail while awaiting arraignment. This investigation remains active and ongoing.”
