RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) — The first annual East Rainelle Fireman’s Muster will take place on August 31, promising a festive start to Labor Day Weekend. The event will feature a classic fireman’s parade, a series of engaging field events, and a cookout followed by the town’s annual concert event.

The day’s activities will begin with a fireman’s parade at noon. The parade lineup starts at 11 a.m. and the parade begins on Main Street, moving along to end on 11th Street. Spectators can expect to see a variety of fire trucks and emergency vehicles, all proudly displayed by local firefighters from Rainelle and surrounding areas.

Following the parade, Meadow River Community Park will be the place to be as firefighters engage in a series of traditional fireman’s field events. These include a hose cart relay, a water battle and a tug of war. The events are designed to showcase the skills and teamwork of firefighters. A cookout will accompany the field events, providing a delicious meal and a chance for camaraderie and fun.

The day will continue with the Town of Rainelle’s annual Labor Day Weekend concert. Starting at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, the concert will feature Rick K and the Allnighters. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for a comfortable viewing experience.

In a recent Facebook post, the Rainelle Fire Department expressed their excitement: “We’re ready for a throwback weekend this Saturday at 12 p.m. for the Fireman’s Parade and then follow us to the Meadow River Community Park for old-fashioned fireman’s field events! We hope to have a great Labor Day Weekend.”

The East Rainelle Fireman’s Muster is set to be a day filled with community spirit, tradition and celebration. The event offers an excellent opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and support local heroes while enjoying a fun-filled day.
