Lewisburg, WV (WVDN) – The WV Rivers Coalition is excited to invite the Lewisburg community to a Clean Water Round Table and Social Hour on Friday, August 30, from 4:00p.m.–6:00 p.m. at the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center. This event offers an opportunity for residents to come together, engage in meaningful conversations about local water quality issues, and connect with fellow advocates for clean water in West Virginia.

This event aims to bring together community members, business owners, and families to discuss local water quality issues and explore actionable steps for protecting West Virginia’s water resources.

In addition to the round table discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy live music by Lily Moore and view the WV Rivers’s mobile mural exhibit. The mural was painted by West Virginia artist Nichole Westfall and the community during the Clean Water For All event in Charleston, WV, earlier this year. The event marked the 10-year anniversary of the Elk River Chemical Leak.

The round table in Lewisburg will cover key topics such as what clean water means to all of us, local conservation efforts, and ways the community can engage in advocacy.

“Our goal with this event is to provide a platform for open dialogue on the water issues affecting our community,” said Maggie Stange, Communications Manager of WV Rivers Coalition. “By gathering together, we can better understand the challenges we face and work towards practical solutions that ensure the health of our water systems.”

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
