Ester Louise Middaugh Knight, 89, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019, after a short illness.
Louise graduated from Fairmont State College with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition degree.
She worked for WVU Extension right out of college, traveling southern West Virginia. Later, she was the Director of WIC in Greenbrier County, WV, until her retirement. She was a member of the DAR, Richlands CEOS, and many other civic organizations. She was a member of Lewisburg United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Irving S. Middaugh and Lorene Taylor Middaugh; siblings, Evelyn Middaugh Ashby, George Middaugh, Beryl Middaugh, and Egbert Middaugh; and her beloved husband of 62 years, Harry Moffett Knight.
Louise is survived by her four boys, Harry Moffett Knight II (Kathleen) of Wilmington, NC, Thomas Irving Knight (Cindi) of Lewisburg, James Walter Knight of Chazy, NY, and Robert Lee Knight of Beckley, WV; grandchildren, Thomas Irving Knight II (Tiffany), Kady Anne Knight, James Harold Guay, Remington Cade Knight, Kylee Morgan Knight, and Campbell Reece Knight; siblings, Stella Middaugh Wood, John Middaugh, and Lorene Middaugh Gillespie; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg, with Pastor Tim Halloran officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg from 6-8 p.m.
