PARSONS, W.Va. — The award-winning Pickin’ in Parsons bluegrass festival returns, bringing over 20 renowned musical acts to the banks of the Shavers Fork River at the Five River Campground in Parsons, West Virginia, from Tuesday, July 30 through Saturday, August 3.

Celebrating two decades as a must-attend event for bluegrass lovers, the 2024 Pickin’ in Parsons festival features a diverse lineup of traditional and contemporary sounds. Headliners include Sister Sadie, The Malpass Brothers, Authentic Unlimited and The Seldom Scene.

“Pickin’ in Parsons is a major cultural event for Tucker County,” says Jessica Waldo, Executive Director of the Tucker County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). “The festival attracts thousands of visitors each year, letting them experience the best of music and nature in a truly unforgettable setting.”

Five River Campground provides the perfect backdrop for this immersive bluegrass experience. Ranked as the third-best campground in the southeast region by The Dyrt, Five River Campground offers clean amenities and beautiful scenery. The campground is located near swimming and kayaking opportunities and hiking and biking trails. Campers can enjoy campfires, jam sessions and a friendly atmosphere throughout the festival. A free shuttle service is also provided to transport attendees to and from local lodging facilities. For more information about the festival and to plan your trip, visit gettuckered.com.
