LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – On Sunday, July 7, at approximately 12:07 hours, two officers were dispatched by radio via Greenbrier County 911 to reports of a disturbance occurring in the vicinity of Fair Street. According to the criminal complaint, dispatch advised the officers that a male subject was standing outside, naked, touching himself and refusing to put clothes on. Officers were also reportedly advised the individual was back in his room and that he had been told twice to put his clothes back on.

At approximately 12:22 hours the officers arrived on the scene and an individual was standing in the parking lot and directed the officers to a second-story room. The criminal complaint states that while still in the parking lot, a man came out of the room wearing no clothes. The person was on a second-story balcony that overlooks the parking lot. The balcony also overlooks the street where the incident occurred, which is a public road.

After observing this behavior the officers went to the second-story balcony and encountered the subject identified as William Drizzt Johnson, 37, of Lewisburg. The subject was reportedly still completely unclothed at that time. At this point, Johnson was placed under arrest and a pair of shorts was located and put on him.

According to the criminal complaint, Johnson did appear to be under the influence due to erratic behavior and the officers requested EMS respond to the location to evaluate him, which they did. EMS reportedly advised Johnson wasn’t in need of further medical treatment. Johnson was then placed under arrest and transported to the Lewisburg detachment of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department before being transported to Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment in front of the magistrate. He is charged with indecent exposure.
