Crystal Gail Fury, 44, of Union, WV, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV.
Born April 19, 1974, in Covington, VA, she was the daughter of Margaret Jones Fury of Union, and Johnny Fury.
Crystal was employed with Collins Aerospace in Union for the past 12 years. Prior to that, she had worked 11 years at Mulligan Flooring in Ronceverte, WV.
Crystal was a 1992 graduate of Union High School and following high school, she attended Bluefield State College. While in school, she was very active in several sports. She loved playing softball and basketball. She was also an avid WVU and Denver Broncos football fan, and a Duke basketball fan.
Crystal was a member of the Forrest Run Church in Glace, WV. She was always willing to help in any way she could, whether she was helping with fundraising for area sports teams or selling raffle tickets to help raise money for someone with cancer. She loved everyone, and will be dearly missed by many.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Abe and Ruth Ellen Jones; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Cora Fury; uncle and aunts, Myles and Violet Fury, Billy and Cleda Fury, and Susie and Mark Jones.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one brother, Travis Fury (Shawnee) of Pickaway, WV; one nephew, Tyler Fury of Pickaway; one niece, Megan Fury of Pickaway; aunts, Wilma Feury (Charles) of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Pasty Cox of Union; uncle, Jackie Jones (Sue) of Gap Mills, WV; cousins, Stanley Jones (April) of Organ Cave, WV, Steve Jones (Michelle) of Organ Cave, Susan Griffith of Ronceverte, Roger Griffith of Fairlea, WV, Sharon Jones of Ronceverte, and Billy Jones of Union; several great-cousins; and her work families at UTC and Mulligan Flooring.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, with Pastors Otis Lewis and Charles Feury officiating. The family had a private graveside service following the funeral.
