Elmer Burton Fuller, 92, of Frankford, WV, died peacefully at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV, on Friday, March 1, 2019.

He was born on September 4, 1926, at Carroll Hill, WV, to the late James H. and Maggie Boone Fuller.

Elmer worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator. After he retired, he worked in maintenance, mowing at the Lewisburg Elks until he was 84. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed music, and hearing Richard Hefner and the Black Mountain Bluegrass Boys. He enjoyed when his friends stopped by to visit, and when Julian Cordoba came in from Texas to turkey hunt with him. He especially loved it when any of his grandchildren, or nieces and nephews came by.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Smith Fuller; a daughter, Linda Kay Fuller-Sigley; a brother, Henry Fuller; and sisters, Kathryn Stidom and Dolly Taylor.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Fuller-Dove; a brother, Dale Fuller (Chrissy); grandchildren, Teresa Dove-Wykle (John Paul), Jeromy Dove (Ann), and Melissa Whitt (Duane); 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews; and special family members, Marie and Jason Plogger.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the McCraw Funeral Home in Frankford, with the Rev. Ron Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery at Carroll Hill.

Viewing will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Sanders, Rick Francis, Tim Beavers, Bill McMillion, Russell Hughes, and Zac Robertson, with honorary pallbearers, Jack Wykle and Brian Brown.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV, 24901.

The family would like to thank Home Care Plus, Peyton Hospice House, and Dr. Debra Sams for their care during Elmer’s illness.

McCraw Funeral Home in Frankford is in charge of arrangements.
