FAIRLEA- Gavin Bennett, Greenbrier East pitcher and shortstop, signed his national letter of intent on Tuesday evening, June 10 at Spartan Yards to continue his baseball career at Potomac State in Keyser, WV and play for head coach Doug Little.
The Catamounts went 25-18 this past season.
Bennett hit .376 this year for the Spartans. He had a team-leading 31 RBIs, seven doubles, a triple, and a home run. He also led the Spartan pitching staff with a 3.48 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 58.1 innings pitched.
Bennett is the son of Heath and Nikki Bennett of Ronceverte.
