Cast Your Vote for the Gbr East/Gbr West Diamond Players of the Week, April 22-27

Please vote for the WV Daily News Greenbrier East and Greenbrier West Diamond Players of the Week for the week of April 22-27. Two players from each team in the county (GE baseball, GE softball, GW baseball, and GW softball) are all listed together. We will take the top vote getter from each school and announce the winners on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting this week closes Monday, April 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM.

NOMINEES:

Taylor Boswell- .333, HR, 2 doubles, 3 runs, 5 RBIs in a 3-1 week for the Lady Spartans

Kayla Bartley- hit .333 with a HR, 3 runs scored, and 5 RBIs. On the mound, pitched 16 innings, gave up 8 hits, and had 29 strikeouts. Did not allow an earned run.

Ashton Cochran- batted .400 with a triple, 2 runs, and an RBI.

Peyton DeHaven- had a double and led the team with 5 runs scored for the week.

Brilee Redden- hit .500 with a triple and a double. She scored 3 runs and drove in 4 more. Also pitched 8 innings and had 14 strikeouts.

Brooklyn Adkins- hit .500, scored 4 runs, had a double, 2 RBIs, and stole 2 bases. Also homered in a JV game.

Braydon McClung- in an undefeated week for the Cavs, hit .750 with 7 runs and an RBI. Also had two triples and a double. Pitched 2.1 innings with 3 strikeouts.

David Lester- Like his teammate, hit .750 for the week. Scored 10 runs, had two doubles and a triple. Had 11 RBIs and pitched 7 innings with 10 Ks for the red-hot Cavs.
