GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in gaining information about a missing individual. The person’s vehicle was recently found in White Sulphur Springs. The sheriff’s department released the following statement:
“On Saturday, April 6, 2024, Lieutenant D.W. Hedrick of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to an abandoned vehicle complaint on Kate’s Mountain Road on the White Sulphur Springs side of the mountain.
“Lt. Hedrick located a white Dodge Ram 1500 parked in a wooded area located off the main roadway. An investigation of that vehicle revealed it to be registered to Benjamin Baker of Covington, Virginia.
“Mr. Baker had been reported as a missing person to the Alleghany County Virginia Sheriff’s Office and was last seen on January 25th and had been reported as a missing person on January 29, 2024.
“Further investigation revealed this truck had been seen parked in the exact location two weeks earlier by an individual. A search of the area was conducted which resulted in negative findings of any individuals associated with the truck.
“If you saw this vehicle or Mr. Baker (pictured below) in this area between January 29, 2024, and April 06, 2024, or have any other information regarding this investigation please contact Lieutenant G.R.
