WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – Lions’ of White Sulphur Springs were happy to welcome Braylenn Dowdy as a new member of the club recently. She was sponsored by Lion Rodena Belcher and inducted into the club by Past District Governor, George Gillespie.
Lion Dowdy is excited to be a part of the largest service organization in the world which helps provide eye exams and glasses, supports diabetes education, and helps with local blood drives and many other projects.
One of their upcoming events on April 15 is Adopt a Highway. The Lions would love to have other community members join them in helping to clean up a section of Rt. 92. Bags, safety vests and pick-up tools will be provided. Meet at the Food Lion parking lot at 5 p.m. or call the number below for more information. Pick up will be rescheduled if it rains.
