Jeffrey John Giggenbach, 57, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, in El Cajon, CA, after a long illness.

Jeff was born in Clifton Forge, VA, on May 15, 1961, and was the son of Fred and Kay Sweet Giggenbach.

Jeff was a graduate of Greenbrier East High School and spent much of his life in White Sulphur Springs before exploring the rest of the country, especially in southern California and Colorado.

During his career, Jeff worked in construction and logging.

Jeff is survived by five siblings: Thor Tangvald and wife, Amy, Christian Giggenbach and wife, Ginger, Bader Giggenbach and wife, Melissa, Fred Giggenbach, and Betsy Plumer and husband, Kevin; niece, Sabrina Squires; nephews, Odin Tangvald and wife, Brittany, Rainor Tangvald, Baldur Tangvald, Nikolaus Giggenbach, and Thomas Giggenbach.

The family will hold a private service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Greenbrier County Humane Society.

California Funeral Alternatives of Escondido, CA, is in charge of arrangements.
