Timothy Paul Bennett, 41, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018, following a motorcycle accident in Anchorage, AK, where he resided.
Tim was a 1994 graduate of Amherst County High School. After high school, he proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force.
He was an active member and officer of the Alaska Vets Motorcycle Club. Affectionally known in the club as “Monk,” he dedicated his life to serving others and honoring veterans.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenny Bennett, of Mineral, VA; and his paternal grandparents, Ivan and Thelma Bennett of Ronceverte, WV.
He is survived by his adopted daughter, Madison Lewis-Bennett of Anchorage; mother, Velvie Bennett of Chester, VA; sister, Melanie Bennett Parker (Jeremy) and niece and nephews of Goochland, VA; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Temple Baptist Church, 4465 S. Amherst Highway, Madison Heights, VA 24572.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent in Tim’s memory to the Alaska Vets Motorcycle Club at 7500 E. 4th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99504 so his work to help others will continue.
