WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – One individual was arrested after an infant’s death in White Sulphur Springs. Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Bart Baker released the following information:
“On Sunday, Sept. 03, 2023, at approximately 11 a.m., EMS personnel were dispatched to a residence near White Sulphur Springs for an unresponsive 2-month-old infant. The child was subsequently flown to an out-of-state medical facility.
“On Tuesday, Sept. 05, 2023, the child died.
“A lengthy investigation, conducted by West Virginia Child Protective Services and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, ensued. That investigation would ultimately culminate in an arrest.
“On Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, Shane Lee Dolin, age 25 of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, was arrested and charged with Child Abuse Causing Death. Mr. Dolin was arraigned before a Greenbrier County Magistrate and incarcerated in the Southern Regional Jail.
“Sergeant Brandon McCormick, of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, is the investigating officer.”
