MAXWELTON W.Va. (WVDN) – Bob Hefner was recently honored as the recipient of the Maxwelton Ruritan of the Year for 2023. Hefner has a love for serving his community as he is also the Pastor of the Henning Church of God. He serves on the Fair Committee and keeps the ice cream concession stand running smoothly during the State Fair of West Virginia. He has served as President, Vice President and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Maxwelton club. He works with the Frankford Fire Department to determine where the fire hydrants should go that the club purchases for the area. He also volunteers for his church by going on mission trips and taking care of his church members. Ruritan officials said, “Hefner is a pleasure to have in the club and this award is well deserved.”
