James “Jimmy” LaFon, 79, of Ronceverte, WV, left to be with his Lord on December 26, 2017 at CAMC in Charleston, WV.
Jimmy was a truck driver by trade until age 49, when an accident ended his truck driving career.
Later, he had a small farm, raising cattle until his health caused him to give it up. He attended the Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Kathleen Wood LaFon; brother, Eddie LaFon; sister, Marie Brooks; brother-in-law, James Brooks; and sister-in-law Rose LaFon.
Those left to cherish Jimmy’s memory include his wife of 60 years, Nancy Bostic LaFon; daughter, Kathi Judy and husband, Mike; granddaughters, Gabrielle Judy and Tashina Simmons; brothers, Tommy LaFon (Edith), Jack LaFon, and Wayne LaFon (Mary); special sister-in-law, Rachel Dreher; and several nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was cremated, and his ashes will be spread on the farm at a later date.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, with Pastor Donald Trent officiating.
