LEWISBURG W.Va, (WVDN) – Centered in the front of the ‘Greenspace’ area in downtown Lewisburg is the North Pole Express Mailbox, a direct line for kids to send their Christmas wish lists to Santa.
Built by employees of the public works department, the mailbox features nice artwork and lights that make it stand out not just during the day, but at night also.
Last year, more than 400 kids dropped letters in the box and this year that number could possibly grow to even more than that.
Behind the mailbox is Santa’s sleigh, decorations, and the big Christmas Tree that was lit last weekend making it a must-stop—or must-drive by– area for those wanting to get in the holiday spirit.
All Santa letters are requested to be dropped by no later than December 15, if possible.
