The Greenbrier County Commission held a regular meeting addressing a variety of topics Tuesday, February 13. Included on the agenda were National FFA Week, a presentation on the animal shelter annual report, changes to the Greenbrier County tow policy, upcoming bidding for continuing work on the proposed Greenbrier County SportsPlex, a presentation and proposal from the WV Hardwood Alliance Zone, a hazard mitigation grant application authorization from various communities in the county, and the upcoming bidding and work on the Sam Black Waterline Extension project.
The County Commission welcomed three students and members of National FFA Organization (FFA) program from Greenbrier East High School, Kiah Hill, Grace Sealey, and Tiersa Helvey, to address the commission on National FFA Week and the FFA’s mission to forge the next great generation of farmers. The students spoke on their classes, their efforts outside of the classroom, and of their volunteer work.
