LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Nestled in downtown Lewisburg on the corners of Court and Foster streets, you will find a gold mine of lightly worn men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, household items, party dresses, games, toys, incredible bargains on curtains or linens, and much, much more.
The tiny train depot-looking structure houses not only these gently used items, but the treasure trove of hard-working members of The Old Stone Presbyterian Church. Volunteering their time for over five decades to help several groups of Greenbrier citizens, the giving never stops.
The objective is to remedy the needs of local reliefs such as The WV Children’s Home, The Family Refuge Center, local food lockers and churches, senior care, families in need, youth education or The United Way. While the sister goal is to offer extremely affordable prices to the public, in which you can feel good about donating or shopping. One hundred percent of sales is dispersed to any or all of these programs, and that’s a glorious endeavor!
The shop is open to the public Tuesday-Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Friday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. You can follow them on Facebook at Old Stone Presbyterian ChurchWV to see special sales, events and more. As a nonprofit, no refunds are offered. Donations can be arranged by calling the church office at 304-645-2676 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The Americana Thrift Shop continues to be a meaningful resource for many folks in and around Greenbrier County, as it has been for over 50 years.
