Steven Dale Sutphin, 58, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born November 15, 1959, at Christiansburg, VA, he was the son of Mary Ruth Kirk Sutphin and the late Mark Allen Sutphin.
Steve was a former general manager of Country Cookin’ Restaurant at Culpepper, VA, and others. He loved watching football and supporting his Green Bay Packers. He was a Christian.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Ruth Kirk Sutphin; his loving wife of 23 years, Secora Ann Defibaugh Sutphin; son, Steven Brett Allen Sutphin of Lewisburg, WV; daughter, Victoria Ann Hughart and husband, C.J., of Lewisburg; grandson, Carter Steven Hughart; brother, Tony Sutphin of Blacksburg, VA; and sister, Nora Sutphin Ward of Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV, with Pastor Susan Erskine, Pastor Elwood Cox and Pastor Everette “Hat” Defibaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewisburg Community Holiness Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 2, at the funeral home.
Brett Sutphin, C.J. Hughart, George Defibaugh Jr., Tony Sutphin, Mark Sparks, and Joey Elliott will serve as pallbearers. George Defibaugh Sr. will serve as honorary pallbearer.
